A Streetcar Named Desire follows Blanche DuBois, a fragile and delusional Southern belle who arrives in New Orleans to stay with her sister Stella and Stella’s domineering husband, Stanley Kowalski. Blanche is fleeing a troubled past, including the loss of the family estate and a scandal involving a younger lover.

Tensions rise as Blanche clashes with Stanley, who resents her airs and sees through her pretenses. Stanley investigates Blanche’s background and exposes her lies, ultimately destroying the illusion she has built around herself. As Blanche’s mental state deteriorates, Stanley asserts control, culminating in a violent confrontation. The play ends with Blanche being taken away to a mental institution, clinging to the hope that “kindness” will save her, while Stella, torn between loyalty to her sister and love for her husband, chooses to stay with Stanley.

Auditions were held on Saturday July 26th & 27th, 2025.
